7月9日，伊朗IRIB报告，伊朗议会上周通过一项法案，从国家发展基金(NDF)中拨出专项资金15亿美元，给人口不足1万人的城市，提供稳定就业的机会。

该基金将分配给农村和游牧民族地区的非政府项目，例如农业、自然资源、小煤矿,信息技术(IT)、旅游、和手工艺品行业等。

根据伊朗国家统计中心的数据，在今年伊历的第一季度（3月21日至6月21日），伊朗失业率达到了12.6%，这个数字比去年同期增加了0.4%。较上一季度也增加了0.1%。

该统计数据是针对从事经济活动的10岁以上（含10岁）的伊朗人口。这部分人员占全国人口的40.6%。
